- Look over and sign your child's assignment book each night.
- Ensure that he/she reads at least 20 minutes each night. The book should be in their "zone" as determined by Accelerated Reader.
- Log in to Renaissance Home Connect and sign up to get email updates on your child's progress with Math Facts in a Flash and reading quizzes with Accelerated Reader.
- Ensure that your child practices basic math facts 4-5 times a week. Use flash cards, Math Facts in a Flash, websites like freerice.com or just verbally review them in the car when you are out and about.
- In your child's assignment book, he/she has set Learner Profile goals. Review these with him/her and discuss their progress towards meeting these goals.
