As
the newest member of the third grade team, I am very excited to be working
with Ms. Powers and Mrs. Hegwood. I have been a teacher for
14 years. This is my third year at Brown International, where for the
past two years I taught 5th grade. Previously, I taught
overseas at American schools in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and in
Lusaka, Zambia in southern Africa. For six years,
I was a teacher in Fort Collins, Colorado as well. Most of my teaching
experience has been in schools with the IB PYP program. My husband,
James Hock, and I have six-year-old twins, Jacob and Mia. They are
entering 1st grade in Thornton at The Studio School.
We are an active family that loves to rock climb and camp in the summer
and snowboard and ski in the winter. I am really looking forward to
working with third graders!
