Pompeii Exhibit at the Museum of Nature and Science and Other Thoughts

We had a
fantastic field trip to the Museum of Nature and Science. In addition to walking through the Pompeii exhibit, students also toured the Gem and Mineral exhibit. Both of these exhibits connected well to our current unit of inquiry. Of course, students also loved touring the Expedition Health and Space Odyssey exhibits. There is so much to do and learn about at this museum! Make sure to ask your child to tell
you about Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii. Unfortunately since we were in small groups touring the museum, I do not have any pictures to post. Thank you so much to the parent volunteers who helped chaperone. I couldn't have done it without you!
Finally thank you for supporting your child's learning related to our changing earth unit and helping them "take action!" Many students have brought in items from home connected to our unit, such as books, pictures, activitiy kits, and rocks. Thank you and keep them coming!
As a reminder, Friday, November 16 is the last day to A.R. quiz for the 1st trimester. Please continue to ensure that your child is A.R. reading nightly to meet his/her points goal!
