How is an egg like the earth?

As part of our new unit, Earth, Wind and Fire, students are investigating the structure of the earth. Over the past two days, we have used a boiled egg as a model of the earth. Ask your child to tell you how the shell, egg white, and yolk are like the earth. You will be receiving more information at the end of the week in our monthly newsletter about this unit.
In the meantime, we are lucky to have the Education Outreach department from the Museum of Nature and Science with us on Friday to conduct a lab entitled UnEarth Colorado. This will begin at 1:10 in the community room. As a reminder, we will be visiting the Museum of Nature and Science to see the current Pompeii Exhibit on Monday, October 29th.
